AÏT BOUGMAZE VALLEY

(HAPPY VALLEY)

The Aït Bougmaze Valley is located in the heart of the High Atlas at an altitude of 2000m at the foot of the majestic M’goun mountain (4071m), the second highest mountain in Morocco.

Farmers and seminomadic shepherds have lived in this remote valley for centuries, far away from the modern and busy world.

The seasons determine the life of this Berber people.

The garden-like fields and the mild climate attract birds from all over the world: storks, herons, birds of prey and songbirds.

You will soon discover why this valley is also called “The Happy Valley”.
