Day 1: Marrakech
Arrival at the Menara airport. Transfer to the hotel or riad.
Day 2: Marrakech
Day off to visit the Red City of Marrakech: Medersa Ben Youssef, the tombs of the Saadians, the Bahia Palace, the el Badi Palace, the Museum of Marrakech, the Majorelle Gardens,… Overnight stay in the riad in the Medina.
Day 3: Marrakech – Aït Bougmaze Valley (210km)
Departure after breakfast. On our way to the Aït Bougmaze Valley (The Happy Valley) we will visit the natural bridge of Imi n’Ifri and the Ouzoud Falls. Overnight stay in a local gîte.
Day 4: Aït Bougmaze Valley
Day off. It is possible to book a guided daytrip through the valley (visit to the marabout Sidi Moussa). Overnight stay in a local gîte.
Day 5: Aït Bougmaze Valley – Bin el Ouidane (140km)
We will take the road through the valley, passing the Col Tizi-n’Ilissi (beautiful region of Zaouiat-Ahansal and the Rock Cathedral, also called Mastfrane Cathedral) to the large and beautiful lake on the Barrage Bin el Ouidane. Overnight stay in an auberge at the lake.
Day 6: Bin el Ouidane – Imilchil (180km)
We will turn back to the Rock Cathedral for an offroad drive to Anergui and Imilchil. Overnight stay in an auberge.
Day 7: Imilchil
Today we will pack a picnic and go for a daywalk around the 2 beautiful lakes Isli and Tislit (a Berber Romeo & Julia-story). Overnight stay in the auberge.
Day 8: Imilchil – Dadès Gorges (160km)
Departure after breakfast to the region of the Dadès river. In the afternoon we'll enjoy the swimming pool or the hammam of the hotel where we spend the night.
Day 9: Dadès Gorges – Tagdilt (30km)
After breakfast we will go for a ½ day walk in the Dadès Valley. After lunch we'll take the road to Tagdilt from where the following day our tour through the Saghro Mountains will start. Overnight stay in a gîte.
Day 10: Tagdilt – Bab n’Ali
First day in the Saghro Mountains, traditional region of the Aït Atta Berber tribe. We will drive to Bab n'Ali ( Ali’s Gate) passing the highest peaks of the mountains. Overnight stay in an auberge.
Day 11: Bab n’Ali
Day off. It is possible to book a guided walk through the gorges (with picnic). Overnight stay in the auberge.
Day 12: Bab n’Ali – N’kob
After breakfast we will drive to Irrazoune where we will take a 3-hour walk with picnic. Afterwards we'll drive further towards N’kob. Overnight stay in an auberge.
Day 13: N’kob – Merzouga (230km)
A long drive to Erg Chebbi, near Merzouga in the Sahara desert. After a break for tea, we mount the dromedary, who will take us further into the desert to the campsite, where we'll admire the beautiful sunset. Overnight stay in a nomad tent.
Day 14: Merzouga – Ouarzazate (370km)
After a shower and breakfast we'll leave the desert and drive via Alnif, Tazzarine, N’kob to Ouarzazate to spend the last night in a hotel.
Day 15: Ouarzazate – Marrakech or Agadir
Transfer to the airport for the returnflight. Depending on the flight hours, an additional overnight stay may be necessary.
