Day 1: Agadir
Arrival at the Al Massira airport. Transfer to the hotel or Riad.
Day 2: Agadir – Targa n’Touchka (480m)
After breakfast, transfer by minibus or 4WD to the village of Aït Moussa, the starting point of our hike where we will meet the muleteers. After lunch, a 3-hour walk will bring us to the oasis of Targa n’Touchka.
Day 3: Targa n’Touchka – Tagdicht (1100m)
Walking along the valley and the top of the Targa n’Touchka Mountain, we’ll continue uphill to our next camp near the village of Tagdicht.
Day 4: Tagdicht – Ighil Jblaghn (1320m)
Up and down we will walk to the village of Anzgarn (1230m), where a beautiful but steep and rocky path will bring us to the river. We’ll have a picnic between the olive trees. Via the village of Ighil Jblaghn we will climb to the camp at 1320m near Agard Ouzrou.
Day 5:Agard Ouzrou – Ighir Ouzoutn (1490m)
Today will be a short walking day until our next camp on a river at 1490m. Time to chill out!
Day 6: Ighir Ouzoutn – Jebel Lkest - Igidane (950m)
In the early morning we will leave for a tough trip. Slowly we will climb to just 500m below the top of Jebel Lkest (total height of the summit 2375m). We will enjoy the breath-taking view of the green Ameln valley with a patchwork of villages, fields and orchards. A descent along the other mountain side leads us to the village of Anergui (1650m) for lunch. In the afternoon we will follow a fairly steep path to the campsite at 935m near Igidane.
Day 7: Igidane – Tafraoute (1000m)
On our last day of hiking we will walk through argan orchards and climb through a magnificent, desert-like river bed with beautiful rocks, palm trees, cacti and oleanders to the picnic area. After lunch we are picked up and taken to Tafraoute (1000m), where we can enjoy the comfort of bed and bath again.
Day 8: Tafraoute – Agadir (160 km)
Transfer by minibus or 4WD to Agadir. Return flight.
